OOPSJOHN a la carte 
While Coca-Cola “bean berry, berry goot to us” (wife’s family were bottlers), I remember those machines where you practically shredded your fingers pulling the bottles out.

There also used to be horizontal cases with a lift up lid where you deposited your money and then slid your bottle sideways down a rack to the opening where the gizmo let you extract the coke (if you had paid your money). We (as adolescents) quickly learned to pop the cap off with a bottle opener and just drink the coke through a straw. Hope we didn’t put your family out of business. 🙂
