These black swans were originally given to the City of Lakeland by the Queen of England, and every year they receive a physical (“cough!”) as befitting royalty. City workers at this time also round up young cygnets to be raised in protective custody, otherwise they get stolen.
Upon revisiting the post, I remember those wonderful photos you took in 2013. Video still interesting. And nice to get to see an adult black swan!! (specially since I thought it was a goose!!)
