“She won’t bite you.”
This lady gave me some dog treats and said I could feed her dog out of my hand. Without hesitation it snapped at me, making contact with a finger but fortunately not breaking the skin.
I was violating two rules and should have known better:
- never trust a woman 🙂
- always trust your first impression when you approach a dog with cold yellow eyes wearing a spike collar. 😦
“Infection in Finger”
What is this lady engrossed in?
Her notebook, which I have turned around and inserted in the upper left corner, lists two women born in the 1940s plus their phone numbers. (I have blacked out some info.) Sandwiched in between the names is a treatment for paronychia – which I looked up and is indeed a type of yeast infection of the skin around the nails.
Her recommendation?
- go to urgent care
- patient should go to Bardmoor
- warm soaks plus topical mupirocin

I wouldn’t have thought it of sunny and beauteous FLA, but you clearly live in an exceedingly dangerous neighborhood (or walk through one) rife with criminals and maniacs! Run Oops run for your life! Just out of curiosity, did the smiling terrorist playing with fire near the propane cannisters share the somemores?

No, she beckoned me closer but I ran away.

People can be pretty dumb about their dogs. I learned this the hard way when my lovable, docile 80 lb Ridgeback broke her leash to chase the mail lady out of our front yard. You just never know how your dog will react to someone.

This one was actually a rescue dog she only had for a few days. She was trying to socialize it and I was the victim. Stupid me. The lady admitted afterwards that the dog had some trust problems. 🙂

That dog has the very eyes of one that makes me nervous every time. If a dog comes to me, friendly, then o.k., but otherwise I’m usually leery, especially of some breeds. Wonderful pictures!

I always stay wary of this breed too. But I have to admit that often they seem playful and friendly and energetic. 🙂

You always make me laugh out loud. Beautiful shots despite the dangerous subjects.

Yeah, I seem to court ‘danger’ – women with dogs that bite, women with sharp sticks on fire, women with . . . infections. 🙂
